Description
Cafefrut is an association established by 38 coffee growers in the villages of Los Andes, La Copa, and Santa Rosa, in the Iquira municipality of the Huila department. This group was established in 2013 and each family has an average of 2.5 hectares in coffee. As an association they have been working in standardizing the coffee process to improve the quality and cup profile of their combined efforts. This lot is comprised of 60% Castillo and 40% Caturra varieties.
This crop is grown at altitudes between 1500-1700 meters and has been fully-washed for it’s final processing.
Roasted to a gentle medium level, the body of this coffee is creamy and the pronounced flavor is of a sweet kumquat citrus. The aftertaste of this coffee is quite pleasing and remains nicely on the palate.
